Praia da Vitoria

30 July 2011 we dinghied to the marina and walked to the monument to the Virgin Mary on top of the headland overlooking the bay (top left in photo)
From here one gets superb views of the bay,
marina
and town of Praia da Vitoria
That evening we were invited to a BBQ close to the marina organised by fellow yachties


Various boats brought their BBQ equipment
and Tony from one of the sailing boats entertained us with his keyboard.
31 July the marina told us there was now room for us in the marina so we motored in and moored alongside the inside outer pontoon (- Dutch Link is second from the right of the pontoon in the photo). As you can see the entance to the marina is very close to the beach - the channel is made even narrower by the swimming area yellow buoys.

It almost appears that we are on the beach
